The 71st Miss World is the first major international beauty contest to take place in 2024. However, the contest has faced many storms from the beginning.

Most beauties withdrew from the 71st Miss World contest in silence and the Organizing Committee has not yet commented.
The location and time of the 71st Miss World were also continuously delayed.
However, in September 2023, the Organizing Committee changed the location of the contest to India at the end of 2023. However, the plan changed again in October 2023 and was set to be held in March.
Poland, Japan, and Singapore each expressed their desire to host the 71st Miss World contest, but in the end, the location of the contest was India.
The constant change of location and time of the contest makes audiences who love one of the world’s longest-running international beauty contests regretful and disappointed.

Not only is there a lack of consistency in choosing the location and time of the event, the Miss World Organizing Committee also confuses the viewing audience by constantly changing the top selection method.
At first, they planned to only choose the top 20, but in the end, the Organizing Committee decided there would be top 40, top 12 (of which at least 2 contestants per continent), top 8 (2 contestants for each continent).
Currently, there are 8 contestants who are sure to enter the top 40 competitions, including winners of sub-competitions such as Head to Head Challenge, sports, fashion show, and talent.
According to information from the Organizing Committee, the 71st Miss World final night did not have a Dance of the World competition due to limited time.

Near the end of the competition, the Miss World Organizing Committee was also caught up in a controversy of favoring the host country’s beauty queen, Sini Shetty.
Many viewers believe that Sini Shetty’s evening gown does not stand out compared to other designs in the Asia-Pacific region.
Before the finals, Sini Shetty was in the top 25 of the Head-to-head challenge, top 14 of the Talent contest, top 20 of the Fashion Beauty contest, top 4 of the Evening Costume contest.
The Vietnamese representative at the competition – Mai Phuong – was absent from most of the additional competitions of this year’s competition.
