(Dan Tri) – Buckingham Palace announced that Queen Elizabeth II passed away on September 8 local time at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, at the age of 96.

`The Queen passed away peacefully this afternoon. The King and Queen will stay at Balmoral Castle this evening and return to London tomorrow,` Buckingham Palace said in a statement on the evening of September 8:00.
After the death of Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles, 73 years old, will become the new king of England with the title King Charles III.
Previously, British Royal doctors had determined that Queen Elizabeth II had health problems and needed medical monitoring.

Currently, in addition to Prince Charles and his wife, other members of the British Royal family, including Princes Edward and Andrew, and Prince William and his wife, are said to be present at Balmoral castle.
Londoners are also gathering outside Buckingham Palace before news of the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
The British flag has been flown at half-mast at many famous buildings and tourist attractions in this country.
