(Dan Tri) – Coach Pep Guardiola believes that Man City can leave Anfield with a point in hand as success when Liverpool applied immense pressure throughout the match.

`In the second half, in that stadium, we didn’t even have time to breathe. We had to concede a penalty and 15 or 20 minutes later, their attacking pressure felt like a wave.

Oh my God, it’s coming to everyone, they have the ball and everything in their hands,` coach Pep Guardiola shared after the 1-1 draw between Man City and Liverpool in round 28 of the Premier League on the evening of March 10.

Despite being under a lot of offensive pressure from the home team, Man City was still able to open the score first thanks to midfielder John Stone’s finish in the penalty area in the 23rd minute after midfielder Kevin de Bruyne’s corner kick.

However, Alexis Mac Allister equalized 1-1 for Liverpool when the home team was awarded a penalty in the 50th minute. That was the situation in which goalkeeper Ederson was lucky to avoid a red card when he rushed out to illegally block the attack.

Liverpool attacked the away team heavily in the remaining minutes, even the home team would have won if the referee had not missed Jeremy Doku’s foul on Alexis Mac Allister in the final minute of injury time.

`We started really well even before the goal and played with a strong personality. After half-time it was difficult because they had Wataru Endo and Alexis Mac Allister, so Liverpool had a lot of passers.

But after we brought Mateo Kovacic on in the second half, Man City were able to make more passes.

With Mateo, John Stones and Rodri, we have the quality to play and keep the ball.

With this draw, Arsenal is the team that benefits by rising to the top of the table thanks to being ahead of Liverpool in terms of goal difference and one point ahead of Man City.

Regarding the Premier League championship race in the remaining rounds, the Spanish strategist expressed: `Liverpool has always been our opponent for 7 or 8 years, but we always finish first.

What we did against Jurgen Klopp’s team, give me more praise for what we achieved!
